Proof Positive:  Wine, Beer and Spirits of the Finger Lakes

There is a unique relationship between alcoholic beverages and the Finger Lakes. Social, geographical and even political factors have created an environment where wine, beer and spirits have become an important part of our communities, and we have embraced these industries as an important part of life in the Finger Lakes. Proof Positive is a celebration of the history, culture and economics of the wine industry, microbrew movement and distilleries in our region. We welcome you to explore various viewpoints of history, agriculture, politics and economics as you learn more about how wine, beer and spirits have impacted the Finger Lakes Region.

Also on exhibit, the Ted Case Research Lab, inventor of sound on film, and Both Sides of the Wall: Auburn and its Prison.  Suggested donation $3, Noon - 5:00 pm, Tues-Sun.

"The Pitch"

Star Child - Book by: Jennifer Stafford,   Music by: Josh Freilich Lyrics by: Sarah Underwood

Based on Oscar Wilde's short stories, this fun-filled musical follows Mattan, the self-proclaimed "most beautiful boy in the world". When a suave Marketing Man comes to town to send Mattan on tour, his fame goes to his head. However, when he becomes so self-centered and cruel that a witch takes his beauty, he must go on a journey and learn to see beauty through the eyes of others.

Chez Morgan - Book and Lyrics by: W. Joseph Matheson,   Music by: Logan Medland

The original 'torch singer' and star of Broadway's Showboat, Helen Morgan's life couldn't have been more melodramatic if scripted by a Hollywood writer. From singing French folk songs in Toronto railyards to beauty pageants in Montreal, to Ziegfeld chorus girl and Ziegfeld's greatest leading lady, to losing the three men she loved most, Helen Morgan lived a life as colorful and heartbreaking as any of her songs.

Tickets $20, 7/5 7:30pm, 7/6 8pm, 7/7 5 & 8pm.
