Beginners imaginatively explores the hilarity, confusion, and surprises of love through the evolving consciousness of Oliver (Golden Globe Award nominee Ewan McGregor). Oliver meets the irreverent and unpredictable Anna (Mélanie Laurent of Inglourious Basterds) only months after his father Hal Fields (Academy Award nominee Christopher Plummer) has passed away. Social, geographical and even political factors have created an environment where wine, beer and spirits have become an important part of our communities, and we have embraced these industries as an important part of life in the Finger Lakes. Proof Positive is a celebration of the history, culture and economics of the wine industry, microbrew movement and distilleries in our region. We welcome you to explore various viewpoints of history, agriculture, politics and economics as you learn more about how wine, beer and spirits have impacted the Finger Lakes Region.
