Using a basic lighting kit, participants will design creative lighting fixtures using found objects like glass bottles, straws, or silverware. Artist and teacher Robert Loring often creates art using repurposed objects. Create unique lamps, sconces, and other lighting creations will add a unique recycled artistic touch to any home. Lighting kits will be sold separately. 6-8pm $15/members, $20/non-members.

"The Fantasticks," is hosted by Carnytown Productions and Produced by Tom Hoey, with Simon Moody, Jack Sherman and Joel Weirick as co-producers. The Auburn production of "The Fantasticks" with book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt is now celebrating its 51st year. This "longest-running musical in the world" features direction by James Cantu, musical direction by Barbara Mushock, choreography by Yvonne Villano-Hassett and set design by Navroz Dabu. Wine and Beer will be available with proper I.D., and snacks may be purchased during intermission. Daily shows 2:00 & 8:00pm, tickets $25/person.

A Better Life

A Better Life is a poignant story about the struggle of an honest, profoundly decent man to survive as an illegal alien in LA. Utterly devoid of political posturing and moralizing, the film deals instead with the universal human yearning for security, stability, and at least some degree of happiness in one's life. 4/20, 1:00 & 8:00 pm, 4/21, 8:00 pm. Families will have the opportunity to experience the Seward House through the eyes of William Seward's daughter, Fanny. Drawing heavily from Fanny's extensive diaries, a guide playing Fanny will give a first-person account of her life, touching on the topics of abolition, women's rights, her family's experience during the Civil War, and what it was like to be a child during the 19th century. Appropriate for Grades 4-12. 10:00 am - 11:30 am or 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm. $10/adults, $8/children 12 & under.
