Theodore Case FILM FESTIVAL
The festival’s mission is to further the creative legacy of Theodore Case and the Case Research Laboratory by promoting the film and video arts in Central New York. June 1, 6PM: Student showcases featuring work from a number of area schools. June 2, 10AM: “The Dawn of Sound: How Movies Learned to Talk” (documentary and discussion). At 1PM: “Ted’s Talkies,” a collection of test films, shorts, etc. from the Cayuga Museum archives (commentary and discussion). At 3PM: 2012 Oscar nominee “Hugo,” director Martin Scorsese’s storybook tribute to French silent film pioneer, George Melies, with historical intro., $6 admission charged.
